Let me tell you, we had a pretty jam packed holiday weekend.... I am getting exhausted just getting ready to tell you about it, but here I go.
First we had my Shay family come over for dinner Thursday night. My cousins always keep me entertained, I don't think they ever sit still. Maggie loved it and she loved playing with Uncle Andy too! He's just a big kid at heart so all us kids naturally love him. My Uncle Jeremy brought fireworks and set them off in our back yard, it was pretty awesome......
It was soo much fun, the next day my Servais relatives came over and my dad decided to continue the fun with them by buying more fireworks. I really like the ones that crackle and Maggie liked the ones that looked like stars. This was our first 4th of July in our La Crescent house, we had big fireworks going off on all sides of us, it was crazy. I went to bed cause I was beat but Maggie couldn't get past the loud noise and stayed up with everyone. Aunt Kristi even flew home to hang out with us for the weekend!!!!

Then on Saturday my dad had to race in a dragon boat race in La Crosse. He was busy with that all day. We got to see him race once and it was pretty cool. There were 54 teams which got divided into 2 leagues, my dad's team took 7th in his division. We were pretty proud :) Great Aunt Rose even joined us down by the river. After we watched him race we went and hung out at the park - there happened to be a water playground there. Maggie went nuts. She was in heaven running in the water with the big kids (she was the smallest one there but it didn't stop her). It looked like so much fun I got mom and Aunt Kristi to take me through just a couple times. I didn't get as wet as Maggie though. She had to change her whole outfit, but it was a good thing she did cause at RiverFest they had a big blow up slide that Grandpa Servais got her tickets to go on. Again, she was the youngest one, but she climbed right up and slide right down! She is a pretty brave lil sister, must have learned that from me (wink wink).

Everyone took off Sunday and I finally got to catch up on some rest..... boy, busy holiday weekends are the best.
