Goodbyes... followed by Hellos!

Well, I hate to say this, but I had to say goodbye to my awesome friend Erin.  She was my nanny/babysitter/friend/and drill Sargent these past 6 months.  Yes, we had a lot of fun hanging out and working hard.  But, she has moved onto bigger (but not better) things.  She got accepted into a nursing program - YAY ERIN! Which means she has to put her focus there instead of on me.  I am gonna miss her Hunches of Bunches (like the Dr. Seuss reference there?).   She did say that she will stop by now and then to say hi and if my parents ever want to have a "date night" she may help out there too..... so I have been pushing for a date night, but my mom is pretty lame and likes to stay home ALL THE TIME.  Some good news, I got this stellar picture with Erin on her last day working with me.  I couldn't smile any bigger, not cause I was happy to see her go, but because I am just that happy when she plays with me.  Good luck Erin, you are gonna be an excellent nurse!

So, after a couple weeks of advertising and interviewing, my folks found someone to take Erin's place.  My new friend's name is Hannah.  So far we are hitting it off pretty good, no picture of her yet.  You will all have to wait (I know, I know... nail bitter).  I think I am going to like her too.

And since January has been sooooo very very cold, we have been inside a lot.  I get to work on my tummy time and my arm strength.... once my new therapy room is done I will get to work on my legs too.  But Maggie is getting antsy to get outside.  She even found my mom's old hat and scarf, from when she was a little girl, and just had to try it on.  My Great Grandma Servais made it all.  I never got to meet her, but I can sure tell by all the love that went into making the hat and scarf that she must have been a pretty amazing lady!  Kaylee will have to introduce us some day, as I am sure they get to hang out all the time up there in heaven.

Worth the Wait

A lot has gone down since my last post (enjoy the pics).....

We went to the rotary lights in La Crosse with our friends Emmett and Clayton - it was very cold and Maggie was very opinionated about walking around the whole park.  She had a major freak out any time my mom or dad tried to pick her up and when it was time to leave and she had to go in her stroller she had a melt down.  I just liked the lights and the music.  The only picture my mom was able to get was Maggie in motion - cause she did not stop moving for more than a few seconds - go go go

We had Christmas in Mondovi at Grandma & Grandpa Servais' House.  We got to do a lil sledding while we were here too, bonus!  My cousin Zoey wasn't feeling the best - she had a fever (and not was not the cowbell kind).  My Aunt Kristi won the ugly xmas outfit belt and taught Maggie how to "cheers" when she drinks her bottle.

We had Christmas in La Crosse with my Servais "extended family".  Always fun, always loud, always a lot of laughs!  Maggie got to play with new baby Emmerson and my Great Aunt Rose made me laugh and laugh and laugh - she can sure entertain us lil ones.

We visited with my Sherpe relatives - it wasn't a "Christmas" so to speak, but it was a fun get together that happend to be around the holidays.  We were actually celebrating a baby shower for my mom's cousin Scott and his Wife Mandy.  Maggie got to play with Sean and the ladies upstairs, while I hung out with the "men" in the basement.

We had Christmas morning at our house, with our mini tree, in jam packed basement - yes we are still in full renovation mode.  Trust me, my parents will be so excited to have this renovation over with that there will be a blog post AS SOON AS IT IS DONE!  And maybe a lil par-tay to break in the new house, since we have lived here for 6 months and still have not unpacked (or found) most of our stuff.  But my mom did find the stocking she made for us (it took her a loooong time to finish, but she wouldn't want me to share that part) - mine is the snowman and Maggie has Santa on hers.

We had Christmas in Eau Claire at Uncle Dennis and Amanda's new house.  This was actually on New Year's Day, but it was our Shay Christmas - I am still a little confused on this, but it was fun so I won't ask questions.  Then the Shay boys came over to help my dad move some stuff upstairs into the area being renovated to give us so more living space in the basement - so we got to play with our cousins again.
