We Had Fun!

Well, we all had fun during mine and Maggie's birthday days - that is until my parent's tried to take us all out for dinner.  I have been having some issues with sounds/noises lately and the place they took us had overhead music that I just couldn't stand.  Since I can't talk, I decided to cry until we got to leave.  My folks ended up taking our food to go.  I am such a stinker ;)  But before the "dinner escapade" we went up to Grand Dad's Bluff - pretty neat if I do say so myself.  This was the first time either me or Maggie got to go up there.

Then we all went camping - well as close to camping as we can get with my equipment (that is what my mom says anyways).  We got a couple cabins with a few of my mom and dad's friends.  It was a pretty fun weekend.

Now the big new.....
WE MOVED!  Me and Maggie took a lil vacation to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Mondovi while my parents moved all our "stuff" into the new place.  We now live in La Crescent.  I am pretty excited about it because I start school in the fall and my new teacher seems pretty nice.  We also have less car time to get to all my appointments, which is awesome.  My parents took us on a walk to a park close by and guess what, it has an accessible area - I will be able to go on it with my wheelchair when I get it.  It also has a lot of accessible swings, so I won't have to sit on my mom's lap.  We are all pumped about it.

Last, but not least, our walk/run (my mom will be walking, me and Maggie will be getting a ride) is this weekend.... which means this is your last chance to donate to my team "Conner & Kaylee's Crew".  I hate to ask as much as you all hate to be asked, so I am just throwing this out there one last time in case you had wanted to but forgot.  Here is the website you can go to if you wanna:

Look for some fun pics from the big day to come....

Kaylee's Day

Today is the day we Keep for Kaylee, as it was the day she decided to become my guardian angel...
She is the one that helped me stay strong the 8 months I was in the NICU.

Kaylee Josephine Shay

Once again from mom & dad:

In Heaven there's an angel, a child that we adore
Who left our side to early, to sit besides our Lord

Since we can't walk besides her, and keep her safe from harm
Jesus hold her tight for us, forever in your arms

God please let our baby rest, on soft clouds up above
Remind her of us often, and send her all our Love!

We Love you Kaylee

My lil sis' Day

Today is Maggie's 1st Birthday - since I am such a good big bro I decided to dedicate a page to her..
She may be into EVERYTHING, and she may scream loud enough to shatter glass,
but she sure is a cutie pie - but don't tell my parents I said that

From my mom again:

Covered in cake and icing,
your smile stretched ear to ear.
A single candle celebrates,
the joy of your first year.

We sing Happy Birthday,
you play midst wrap and bows.
We marvel at how you touched our lives,
just one year ago.

I remember the first time I held you,
kissed your head, whispered your name.
you've changed our lives forever,
Our hearts will never be the same.

As a child you'll love this day,
for all the sweets and presents too.
As parents we'll love your day,
for the gift we got was you.

Each year we'll add another candle,
so proud to see you grow.
But always with the memory,
of your first day long ago.

All this party stuff gets me tired...

From my mom:

Oh how the years go by,
Oh how time can certainly fly.
From once just a thought in far away dreams,
now into my arms and in my eyes gleam
the presence of you.
Your laughter and smiles
which go on for miles,
warms my heart and soul.
You're growing up so fast,
as I wish each moment with you to last forever.
My little boy will someday be a man
and right by your side I will forever stand.
I will pick up the pieces when you fall,
I will hold your hand and help you stand tall.
And when the day comes when you are on your own,
never feel that you are alone.
No matter how near or far apart
I am always right there in your heart.
Always remember whatever you go through
that no matter what, I will always love you.

The 4th N stuff

My oh my, can you believe that the 4th of July has come and gone by?!?  Maggie can't believe it...

Anywho, my parents took me and Maggie to a parade on the 4th.  I think Maggie really liked it and I did ok with it - just didn't like some of the loud noises.  But, I got to snuggle with mom and/or dad when I got scared.   We didn't venture out to see any fireworks - I have only seen them on the iPad app and that is just fine by me.  But we did have a busy day.  My dad jimmy rigged the running stroller with my car seat and we went for a jog.  After being outside for our job and for the parade and everything, when we got home I crashed in my high chair -- Another 1st for me.  Maggie is all over the place these days and chattin up a storm.  Thought I would share some pics with you, but you will have to wait till our actual birthdays to see the pics from the big party last weekend.  And just a lil teaser.... they are pretty darn cute if I do say so myself.
