Birthday Bash Coming Up

As one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books go...
"today you are you! that is truer than true! there is no one alive who is you-er than you"

In our "birthday suits" to tell you about our birthday par-tay!

Those of you who know me, know that I love me some Dr. Seuss, but I though the timing was right for the words above, they come from Happy Birthday to You.  That's right people, my birthday is coming up... which means Maggie's birthday is coming up too.  Now, there is something else big happening with my family (besides the fact that Maggie is walking), we are moving to La Crescent - and the move happens to take place on our birthday weekend.  Because of this, my folks have been forced to bump up the festivities.

Soooo, come one/come all... catch a flight, drive, bike or run and help us celebrate turning 3 and 1.

Me and Maggie are gonna throw a co-bday party on Saturday, July 6th 12-3 at our house in Caledonia.  It will not only be our birthday parties but it will be the last party that we throw here.  There will be food, it will be fun, and there will be a lotta Dr. Seuss stuff around.  Come watch us demolish some cake!  Please let my mom know - either email: ljserva@hotmail.com ; facebook message ; comment on here ; or even do it the ol' fashion way and give her a phone call - so she knows roughly how many people are coming so we can prepare.  Can't wait to see you!

I want to ride my bicycle

All this cold and rainy weather can kiss my diaper; I want to go outside and play....

I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like

All it took was 2 hand wraps, pink trunk support, black hip helper shorts, 2 shoes duct tapped to the pedals, and a modified seat belt system - along with a jealous lil sister - and I was able to ride my bike inside for a lil bit today.

Maggie took it one step further....

Hello Sunday,

Now, don't get me wrong, I kinda like going to church.  I like the singing and the music and the people (most of the time).  But this morning, when my mom said we better get ready for church..... I kinda wanted to stay in my pj's and listen to Dr. Seuss.  So, when we were all ready and everyone was in the car, I decided to puke.... all over..... everything in the car (and I also left a lil surprise in my diaper too, just in case the puke wasn't enough).  I figured this was enough to get us out of church today.  But I was wrong.  My folks cleaned me, my car seat, and the car itself up while Maggie downed a bottle and we were off.  We were only a few mins late.  My plan had failed.  However, Maggie decided to take it one step further.  We are usually pretty good kids in church, people have even commented on it.  Today was no such day.  Maggie did not sleep during church.   Instead she yelled, she got really loudly excited, she squirmed and jumped, she was exchanged between mom and dad, she cried, she said hi to everyone and everything, she insisted on being on the ground at times, and she even had to be taken out by my mom at one time - not sure where they went but they eventually came back.  I think Maggie thought that she was going to get us to leave by misbehaving.  Her plan failed too.  I was about to finish with "chalk one up for mom and dad" but now that I think about it, no one really one.  Yes we did end up going to church and yes we did make it through the service, but I am pretty sure mom and dad are exhausted from the ordeal.  We'll call it a tie.
Watch Out World - This Girl is Gonna be Trouble

And as long as I am on the topic of Church, our lil couzin Zoey Kaylee Servais got Baptised last weekend.  We got to drive down to Milwaukee and hang out with her for the whole weekend.  It was a good time.  My mom tired to get a good group shot, but Maggie once again had a different plan.  She only sat still for this one.  But we did get a good one of each of us along with her.  I heard the adults talking about my mom being Zoey's Godmom.  I guess that is fitting since Zoey's parents are my Godparents.  Anywho, congrats Zoey and welcome to the Baptised world.
