As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I have been home from the hospital for 2 years as of March 4th! Time sure flies when you're not hooked up to tubes and machines all the time. I do miss hangin out with some of the awesome nurses that took care of me and my fam, but I guess I would rather be home. The anniversary of me being home made me think of the group my mom started with other moms from the NICU - Our Miracle Babies. They had the awesome (and successful) walk last year in August right after Maggie was born; Little Miracles 5K and Family Fun Fest. The walk this year is the same time as it was last year - the first weekend in Aug. We will be having a team again, but it is gonna be tough. The Servais Open is scheduled the same time - decisions decisions decisions.... I think my mom is gonna take me and Maggie to the walk (anyone who isn't golfing is welcome to join us) and my dad is gonna go represent at the Servais Open. My mom says she has won the Open enough times, she doesn't mind letting someone else win (and then she winked). Anywho - me and Maggie decided to throw on our t-shirts from the walk last year to help get the word out. I also thought I would throw in a couple pics from last years walk too. Maggie was only 2 weeks old. Anywho, Let my mom know if you are interested in joining her team (or just donating). More info will come as the time gets closer. Just wanted to get the thoughts a runnin...
P.S. Our Miracle Babies also has some cool cookbooks for sale now too. Again, let my mom know if you want her to get you one. They are $15 bucks and all the money goes to helping lil babies going through what I went through.

St. Patty's Day Special
We had a pretty great St. Patty's Day present - we drove to Milwaukee to visit my new cousin Zoey Kaylee Servais. She was born on Friday. My parents were pretty honored that they chose Kaylee as a middle name, I think I caught my mom with a tear in her eye a couple times.

Then I thought.... I should share what goes on after me and Maggie go to sleep on St. Patty's Day. When the babes are sleeping, the adults may be leaping. Enjoy!

Crawling?
As of March 4th I have officially been home for 2 years. Naturally, as I am wise beyond my years, I have figured out how to teach my lil sister to crawl (without being able to crawl myself). Yes people, I am that good! Actually, it may have had something to do with my sis seeing her friend crawling around the other day when we visited them, and that my mom and dad work on it all the time. But I can still take credit since I'm her big brother. Here's a lil video clip my dad took this morning...

What a Busy Busy Day
Today was my dad's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! WE LOVE YOU!
Me and Maggie helped mom make a brownie/ice cream cake thingy for him - I didn't get to eat any of it but I heard it was AWESOME!
On top of getting ready for dad, we also went to visit some of our friends. Maggie was out numbered 3 to 1 but she held her own pretty well. When we were done hangin out there, we headed into La Crosse - back to UWL..... This time it was for Maggie. A few weeks back I got to be a patient professor for the UWL PT class. Well, today Maggie got to help out some of the PT students and their professor with some research. She had to wear a hat and a onesie and they put all these funny looking ball/reflector things on her. Boy she was not happy about it. Actually, I think she was just tired and hungry, but she cried/screamed at those students the whole time (which is unusual for Maggie, she usually eats up attention). They video tapped and computer recorded some 2D and 3D movements of Maggie turning her head and twisting her body and stuff. When we were done, she was pretty much asleep before mom even got the car started. I was tired too, but I waited until we got home and mom was holding me to fall asleep - I think she likes when I do that. My mom took a pic of Maggie in her research get up but couldn't get it to load. You guys will just have to visualize it (that is what my mom always tells me to do when we are working on standing, sitting, and walking.... just visualize). So here is a pic of me and Maggie hangin out instead.

Valentine's Day n Stuff
We are a little late getting our Valentine's Day picture out.... you may notice that I am not in the picture. I decided I didn't wanna wear red, so after my mom got us all dressed up and ready to go, I puked all over myself. It worked, I got outta getting my picture taken and just got to watch Maggie. Lil did mom know, I was chuckling inside. So here is one of the pics of Maggie. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. My dad got my mom some pretty flowers and I over heard them talking about taking a vacation for the first time in 2 and a half years
Now its time for me to toot my own horn a bit. I had a really good visit with the OT that is working on feeding with me. She let me try eating my pureed food by drinking it out of this weird looking adaptive cup. But, the key words here are "I drank out of a cup" and...... I didn't throw up. That's right. My mom was pretty excited and even got a little video of it. I still don't like to eat or drink using my mouth, but who knows, maybe someday I'll give in and do it.
And, something I am really excited about - today is Dr. Suess's birthday, which means his iPad apps are on sale, which means my mom got me some new books to listen too!!!! Maybe I will let her post a video of me listening to one of my books. Stay tuned...
I also want to give a shout out to my lil sis, one for putting up with all the pictures my mom takes of us, and two for being a pretty cool 7 month old. That's right, my lil sis is now 7 months old! Look out people.
